Les Plantamouves

Les Plantamouves

TWENTYTWENTY

Plantamouves are wonderful plants, both soft and monumental, proliferating and geometric, and above all multicoloured! They also produce geometric fruits that children can wear to play and dance. We enjoyed imagining this extraordinary garden populated by this small dancing community, as an amusing reference to Osckar Schlemmer’s Triadic Ballet.

The project was born out of a dual desire: to create a museum piece that engages children’s bodies and to take advantage of the gallery’s vast space to create a large-scale sculpture. In our shows and performances, we love to create elements that modify the body, fragment it, augment it, and require the invention of a specific choreographic language. Dance, along with sculpture, is at the heart of our work, and we wanted to share that with the children. ”
