Cabaret Europe

Europe was born in the East, near the shore of the Mediterranean Sea. When she was still a young girl, she was kidnaped by Zeus, who, in order to possess her, took her far from home. In this land of adoption, that now has her name, she looks towards the East.
Her eye is first attracted to Sarajevo. In April 1992, the Balkan powder keg ignites again. During her chant, political figures appear: Alija Izetbegovic, Radovan Karadzic and militiamen who fight for the liberation of the besieged city.
Europe’s nightmare goes on until she turns towards Greece and observes today’s Athenians, prisoners of the institutional directives. The voices of Angela Merkel, Alexis Tsipras and Jean-Claude Juncker come to haunt her mind.

The Cabaret Europe is a musical echo to the tetralogy Europe, my love.
