Clémentine Baert is a writer, director and actress.
She has performed under the direction of Pascal Rambert, Georges Lavaudant, Bernard Sobel, Christophe Fiat, Oriza Hirata, Thomas Quillardet, Joris Lacoste and soon Silvia da Costa. Her regular collaborations with Robert Wilson from 1998 to 2002 in New York have made her a cosmopolitan and singular artist.
On the big screen, she has worked with Jean-Charles Fitoussi, Emmanuel Mouret, Siegried Alnoy, Olivier Dahan, Philippe Lioret, Wim Wenders & Guillaume Canet.

Her theatre company, A & P, was founded in 2005.
In May 2006, she created ECHO with Alexandre Meyer, a contemporary rock opera based on the myth of Echo in Ovid’s Metamorphoses. The piece was performed at the Théâtre du Golfe (La Ciotat), the C.D.N. de Dijon, the Festival Frictions, Mains d’oeuvres and the Comédie de Saint-Étienne – CDN.

In 2015, she wrote, directed and starred in the solo-piece Alors est-ce que c’est là? (“So is it here”?) at the Théâtre de Vanves, later presented at the T2G and the CDN de Dijon.
The piece Un matin (“One morning”) followed, a play for young audience from 5 years old, created in Vanves in 2016, whose tour included performance dates at the T2G.
In 2016-2017, she led an artistic and cultural territorial residence in a school setting in Asnières and Gennevilliers, based on issues dealing with territory and identity. Intended for students of allophone and non-allophone classes, this residence ended with a public presentation at the T2G in May 2017.
In June 2018, Clémentine directed Je nous promets, a piece with young amateurs as part of the “Adolescences et Territoire(s)” project, which was presented at the Odéon Théâtre de l’Europe (Paris), at the Espace 1789 (Saint-Ouen) as well as the T2G C.D.N. de Gennevilliers.
Following this experience, she directed her first short-film also called “Je nous promets” (“I promise to all of us”), which was commissioned by the BAL, Paris and selected at the Côté Court Festival (Pantin, 2019).
She is currently writing her next piece, Nos Champs (“Our fields”) which will be created in 2021, as well as a new film project, Transit.
