Pauline Ringeade/l'imaginarium
Based in Strasbourg, the theatre company l’imaginarium was founded in 2010 by seven artists from diverse backgrounds, spearheaded by Pauline Ringeade, the company’s director and artistic director.
“Over the past 15 years, we have created performances that are quite different from one another, both aesthetically and dramaturgically.
But what has remained a constant across these productions is our interest in characters undergoing profound inner change, whose imagination actively shapes their perception of the world and their relationship with others.
In each of these plays, there is a presence of the intangible, the ethereal, and at times almost the fantastical, at the heart of a theatricality of the present moment, where the actor addresses the audience, thereby inviting them to enter the fiction. Ultimately, that is what it is all about each time: shifting perspective.”
Between January 2021 and December 2024, she was an associate artist at La Manufacture – CDN de Nancy and at Les 2 Scènes, Scène nationale de Besançon.
l’imaginarium is funded by the Grand-Est Region.
Since 2015, the company has been working with Florence Bourgeon, who is responsible for the development and distribution of the shows.
Between 2016 and 2024, the company was supported by La Poulie Production, Laure Woelfli and Victor Hocquet.
Since January 2025, it has been collaborating with Manon Cardineau and Colin Pitrat, from the agency Les Indépendances, who handle administration and production for the company.
